Housmans is an exciting new venue, offering a different concept to Church Stretton that enhances and augments the many and varied existing hostelries and general food venues in and around the town.
Housmans is a wine bar that offers a casual dining experience of a European nature. Whether it’s for a morning coffee with a muffin or Danish, “picking” at your selection from the hot or cold tapas menu, a bowl of pasta, a slice of pizza or choosing something from the ever changing specialities at lunchtime or evening, Housmans is a venue to completely relax in with friends, family and colleagues.
Housmans offer a small selection of draught bitter and lagers, a few real ales from a variety of both local and nationwide brewers and a fine selection of wines, bottled beers and ciders.
Accompanied children at tables welcomed until 8p.m

The launch of a new wine bar in Churcb Stretton, which has created up to 12 jobs, has been welcomed by the community.
Housmans in High Street opened its doors recently with a special launch night for people to sample a wide variety of cask ales, ciders, wines and spirits as well as food with a Meditenanean twist.
Run by resident Ian Barrett and his son Mark, Housmans is open six days a week, serving up tantalising dishes using local produce, ranging from tapas to pastas and seasonal dishes.
It is a new venture for Mark, who has just commpleted a five year career in hairdressing.
He said: “It has gone very well so far and on the opening night we were full to the rafters. This week has been quite busy too and most evenings we have been fully booked, as well as being busy at lunch times.
“We have had positive feedback from everyone, so far and the separate menus for lunch time and evening meals have proved to be popular.
